Music rights enforcement · European Union

Sound,
recognised.

nnuma finds unlicensed commercial use of recorded music across social media and advertising, and works with music rights lawyers to recover fair compensation.

Screening so far

Built on real brand content, not assumptions.

300European brands under continuous watch
32,000+brand posts and ads collected
16,000+videos fingerprinted against our catalogue
39brands found using the music in their content

Figures from our first screening run, autumn 2026. A match is a lead, not proof: every case is reviewed before anyone is contacted.

The problem

Every brand that uses music is in the music business. Licensed or not.

The music libraries inside Instagram and TikTok are licensed for personal use. Brands use the same libraries for advertising, product videos and their own social channels, and most never clear the recording for that.

For rights owners those uses are hard to see: they are spread across thousands of accounts, campaigns come and go within days, and nobody keeps a record.

Context

The courts have already drawn the line.

Platform libraries don't cover brands

In 2022, Universal and Sony won liability rulings against Bang Energy: a platform's general music library did not cover the brand's own videos.Sony Music and UMG v. Vital Pharmaceuticals (Bang Energy), 2022

Labels are enforcing

In 2025, Warner Music sued Crumbl over the use of at least 159 recordings in the brand's social content.Warner Music Group v. Crumbl, 2025

The cleared catalogue is small

TikTok's Commercial Music Library holds about 600,000 pre-cleared tracks. Streaming services carry over 250 million.TikTok; Luminate

Commercial music is common in brand posts

An analysis of over 19,000 TikTok posts from ten beauty brands found commercial music in 30% of them. Matches, not confirmed infringements: that is why each use has to be checked.Pex analysis

Our approach

One service, from detection to recovery.
